The Great Apes Survival Project (GRASP) Partnership is a project of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) with an immediate challenge to lift the threat of imminent extinction faced by great apes.
Fuel was briefed to create a Fundraising Gala at London's Zoo as a platform to communicate GRASP positioning, achieve widespread international targeting and endorsement and raise funds.
In advance of the event, Fuel secured corporate sponsorship, negotiated an agreement with TV presenter Shauna Lowry and internationally renowned conservationist Richard Leakey to host the event and be GRASP ambassadors, sourced prizes for a fundraising auction, sold tickets for the Gala dinner and organised the event logistics. During the event, Fuel managed catering, guests, table arrangements, the auction and a press briefing. Post event, Fuel generated extensive international coverage, including CNN, BBC and the Independent.
As a result of Fuel's work, GRASP met its fundraising target and Fuel exceeded its Key Performance Indicators in terms of international media exposure. |
