Gillian Waddell is Managing Director of Fuel. She has created many high-profile educational
and communications programmes (eg, junk food advertising, obesity, children's behaviour).
The success of these campaigns has had significant impact on society at large, both in terms
of increasing awareness and understanding of the issues involved, and in fostering change.
Armed with an honours degree in History and Politics from
St. Andrews' University, Gillian spent her early career
with magazine publishing houses before entering the world
of PR. Her ability to twin strategic and creative thinking
with decisive action and practical solutions, backed by
extensive business experience, explains much of her success
as a dynamic, results-driven consultant to leading national
and international industry players. Gillian's magnetic
and charismatic personality inspires, energises and commands
trust, dedication and loyalty.
Gillian is the President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations' Women in PR, a regular
media spokesperson, guest speaker and debater at national and international industry and
