French student Laurie shares Internship experience at Fuel PR agency

workingatfuelpr-internblogMy name is Laurie and I am a French student at the University of Nice. I am studying doing a BA in Communications and in order to complete my last year at university I needed to gain work experience. I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do, but the world of Public Relations had always fascinated me. I have always been captivated by the city of London and even though it was a big step for me to leave France, I was delighted by the opportunity to work a PR agency located in London.

My experience working at Fuel PR was great. They taught me a lot of things that will always be useful even if I choose not to go into the PR world. I was able to put my creativity to good use as I created a lot of design work for the brands we look after at Fuel including social media posts and photography which was great because I always felt I was creative, and Fuel PR allow me to do that. I also learned many things on how brands and PR agencies communicate which was interesting. I saw all the ‘behind-the-scenes’ work to what we see on social media – there’s a lot more work than what I thought and it’s so great to be able to understand it and take advantage of it.

Moreover, I understand what marketing means and why it is so important. Marketing is fundamental and I’m glad I had the chance to experience this during my internship. The team is amazing and very friendly, always taking the time to explain to me my tasks and making sure I wasn’t having any troubles completing my day-to-day tasks.

During the last two months I learned a lot, and I’m going back to my university classes with a real interest for Marketing, especially Digital Marketing. I’m so grateful I had the chance to work here and join a nice, fun PR team. Thank you so much Fuel PR! – Laurie Broglia – BA in Communication at University of Nice
